The kind of book that reminds you why you went into teaching in the first place. Although set in a primary school, the village is part of the school and the school is part of the village. Pre-National Curriculum, with the ability to select and choose what and when to teach, this is an amusing account of a first year of headship, with all it's ups and downs.
