Review: Adjacent to Lloyd George's birthplace, this museum contains a huge amount of memorabilia about this important political figure, including the keys to the city of York, his cape and walking stick, and much, much more. The displays take you through his life in chronological order, focusing on the man and his actions, and the response to them. An excellent way to look at some of the key events of the first part of the Twentieth Century! Just behind the museum Lloyd George is buried, in a quiet shady grotto overlooking the river. And don't forget to visit the Victorian kitchen garden next door. Perhaps some of the displays are, as you would expect, a little factual, as many of his actions are the subject of historical controversy, but this is an excellent place for A Level students, for instance, to begin to get to grips with this important figure in C20th British history.
