This new 4th edition of a classic atlas contains 16 new maps, updating the story since 2002, looking at 7/7, at the British Army abroad, at trade and the economy, and migration - both into and out of, the UK.
For those of you who absorb information better from visual sources, this atlas is a must. It provides a clear overview of key events and linkages in the long history of Britain. Some of the maps appear a little cluttered, as the author strives to include a great deal of information, but generally the maps are very accessible. They will not, of course, replace detailed articles and text, but as an introduction and context they are perfect. A must for the school or department library - and the recent maps are really useful for citizenship too.
