Description:
A wonderful small country house from the 1790s, designed and built by John Nash, almost unchanged since it was built.

Review:
A small country house that stayed in the same family for ten generations, this is a really attractive place to discover life above and below stairs. The house has only half a dozen main rooms, so is not too overwhelming, but the scullery parlour and workrooms are outstanding. There is also a home farm and delightful walled garden full of old-fashioned apple trees and herbs. The best bit, however, is the service area behind the house - the most complete I have ever visited. There is a laundry, brewhouse, bakery and more, all fully equipped and much as they would have been when the servants worked there and lived above the shop - an unforgettable experience.
