Description:
A last reminder of the 100s of lead and silver mines that dotted this area in the past.

Review:
There are surface remains to explore, ,and waterwheels that still work, showing how to get power for nothing! There is an exhibition area but the best bit by far is the underground tour of some of the remaining mine shafts and chambers. The highlight of the tour is the end gallery where you turn out your lamps and rely on candles to illuminate the area - just like the lead miners of so long ago would have done. A fascinating insight to a long lost part of our industrial heritage.
