Courtroom built in 1614, and used well into the 20th Century.

See what it was like to be an accused in the C18th, or find out about some of the famous trials and punishments over the ages. Sit in the dock, or the gallery, and imagine what it must have been like. Excellent for Crime and Punishment, but also for Britain 1750-1900 social history. A small but extremely effective exhibition.
