There is a lot of attention paid these days to multiple intelligences, and pupils' preferred learning styles. This book focuses on visual learning. There are examples of starters, of plenaries, of using mind-maps and/or icons to aid memory. Plenty of games and strategies to help pupils learn. There are also some extended activities - the Slave Trade, a Feudal System Pyramid, Inn Signs, and Revolutions. All these come on a CD to make it incredibly user-friendly. Some of the activities you will take straight off the page and use, others will no doubt spark ideas for you to develop yourself. If you have reluctant writers, or want advice on how to diversify activities in your lesson planning ,then this book is worth a look.
