Step forward Lt Commander Spicer-Simson, perhaps the most incompetent British sea captain ever. One of his ships was sunk before his eyes as he drank tea ashore! Despite the bungling the plan is eventually successful, and Britain beats german sea-power to secure the colonies. An exciting read, full of detail and colour, thoroughly researched and entertainingly told. A great insight into a rarely explored aspect of WW1.
