Review:
A large church, dating from 1130, when the largely intact Norman nave and some of the remaining windows were built. There are medieval additions, and a wonderful Jacobean pulpit, as well as a marvellous tomb of the Irby family, surrounded by their five children. The magnificent coat of arms of George III is peppered with shot holes, where local farmers were invited into the church to shoot the birds and the bats - some obviously were not very good shots! A wonderful place to see Norman church architecture.
