Description:
A simple jigsaw type activity to make pupils look more closely at the evidence.
Kids don't look closely at cartoons or pictures - they see the obvious but ignore the detail. This is a simple activity to encourage them to look more closely. Print out the page, then cut the picture into three along the lines superimposed on the image. Give pupils the pieces one at a time, interrogating and discussing what they can see in each piece. Gradually they will build up a big picture of what is going on in the cartoon. The discussion, questioning and feeding back that go with this are the real learning opportunity.
