History is all around us, and we can use it in lots of ways. Every post box have a monarch's cipher on it, depending on when it was installed. Here is a full set, on a powerpoint slide. Use it as it is - put the boxes in chronological order to revise twentieth century british monarchs. Add to it - get them to note events or people from each reign - for example. Makes a good starter, or the basis for a revision activity. Use the interactivity function of your white board to really keep your pupils guessing!
