Description:
A simple introduction to historical interpretations - all pupils have to do is guess who you are talking about.
A series of (very) selective descriptive statements about Adolf Hitler, emphasising only the good things he did - or the things we might today think of as 'good' - eg; being a vegetarian, nice to animals, and so on.
Pupils then guess who he or she is.
Finally you tell them who it is.
You can then ask them to do the same for any number of other historical figures.
This will help pupils realise that by selecting facts or opinions carefully you can present anyone in a good - or bad - light!
Makes an excellent starter activity - or a basis for doing a biography of someone.
