Make sure your students see the relevance of the history they are doing by linking it firmly to their life today.
Doing the Chartists or Suffragettes? Start by asking who is demanding more freedoms today? What are the arguments saying we should have less freedom to counter terror? How similar are those to arguments used in Victorian and Edwardian times? How different?
